About Badge & Burden

Built From a Life Lived Inside It

Badge & Burden was not built as a business. It was built from a life lived inside the realities it serves.

For more than twenty years, the founder’s family has been deeply connected to the first responder and military community. This life has included late-night calls, long shifts, overtime cycles, deployments, riots, court cases, and the constant transitions that come with the job.

It has also meant learning what it takes to keep a home steady when everything outside of it is not.

The founder served in the military as a Master-at-Arms and later completed a bachelor’s degree with a minor in Psychology, Criminal Justice, and Education. The focus has always been understanding how people think, respond, and carry stress in high-responsibility environments.

This journey has also included facing personal trauma, pursuing therapy, and learning that healing is not weakness. It is strength.

Married for over 19 years to a law enforcement officer who has served in both military and civilian roles, the foundation of this life has been built on faith, resilience, and the daily choice to grow through what this calling brings.

This lived experience is what led to the creation of Badge & Burden.

Not as a brand, but as a place.

A place where first responder and military families can find real understanding, practical tools, and support for everyday life.

Badge & Burden began with the ANCHORED Box, designed to bring intentional tools into the home that support resilience, connection, and faith.

But it quickly became clear that something more was needed.

There are too many valuable resources, tools, and voices in this community that are not being seen or shared.

Badge & Burden is now expanding into a resource hub.

A place to discover trusted support, meaningful tools, and connections that strengthen the home in a life that can often feel isolating.

Everything shared is intentional.

Because behind every first responder is a family carrying a weight of their own.

And they deserve support too.

If even one home feels steadier, one spouse feels less alone, or one family stays more connected because of what is built here, then the mission behind Badge & Burden is being fulfilled.
