Each box is designed by those who live it, for those who live it. This isn’t about trendy merchandise or filler items. It’s about providing meaningful tools that help you reset, refuel, and stay anchored through long shifts, heavy seasons, and everyday stress.

Badge & Burden is more than a box. It’s a moment of encouragement, a reminder you’re not alone, and practical support you can actually use to care for your body, steady your mind, and strengthen your faith.

Each month, the Badge & Burden Subscription Box delivers a thoughtfully curated experience designed to support life behind the badge. You can expect 4 practical, and meaningful items that care for your body, steady your mind, and strengthen your spirit.

This is not your average subscription box. Every item is chosen with purpose — no filler, no trends that don’t serve you.

To give you an idea of what may be included:

• Encouragement tools like reflection cards, journals, or faith-anchored resources

• Self-care and recovery items to help you decompress and reset

• Practical lifestyle essentials designed for real, everyday use

• Nourishment and hydration support to care for your body

• Seasonal items that bring comfort, grounding, and encouragement

• Resources created specifically for first responder families

Each box is different, but the heart is the same: support, resilience, and reminder that you are not alone.

⚓️What's NOT included (so you know what to expect)

We care deeply about creating a supportive, stress-free experience for first responder families. To keep things clear and consistent, here are a few things that are not included in the Badge & Burden Subscription Box:


  1. Custom boxes or preference-based selections

    At this time, we’re not set up to offer custom box orders or individual item preferences.

  2. Sized apparel

    Items like leggings, shorts, or shirts are not included unless they are truly one size fits most.

  3. Food allergy accommodations

    While we are mindful in our curation, we’re not able to accommodate specific food allergies at this time.

If you ever have questions about what’s included — or what isn’t — we’re always here to help.

⚓️How do I send a box as a gift?

How thoughtful of you! At checkout, you’ll be prompted to enter a shipping address. Simply enter the recipient’s address (there’s no need to include your own), and we’ll take care of the rest.

Be sure to include your message in the “Gift Note” field at checkout, as packing slips are not included in our shipments. Your note will be added so your recipient knows this gift was sent with care.

A small gesture can mean a lot — especially behind the badge.

⚓️ What if I don't like some of the products that I receive?

We hope you do — but we understand that everyone has different preferences. Each Badge & Burden box includes multiple thoughtfully selected items so there’s something meaningful and useful inside, even if one item isn’t quite your style.

If there’s an item you don’t personally connect with, many of our subscribers choose to pass it along to a friend, spouse, or fellow first responder family member. Sometimes encouragement shared is encouragement multiplied.

Because of the nature of curated subscription boxes, we’re unable to accept returns, exchanges, or offer store credit. However, if you receive an item that is damaged or defective, please reach out to us at support@badgeandburden.com, and we’ll gladly work with you to make it right.

We always aim to curate with care, intention, and respect for the community we serve — and we’re here if you need us.

⚓️Can I include a gift note?

Absolutely. We’re happy to include a gift note with your order.

Just be sure to add your message in the “Order Notes” field at checkout, and we’ll take care of the rest.

A few thoughtful words can mean more than you know — especially behind the badge.

⚓️ Can I cancel my subscription?

Yes. Cancellations are simple and hassle-free.

You can cancel your subscription at least 30 days before your next recurring payment date by logging into your Account Dashboard, which is emailed to you after signup. You can also access your dashboard anytime using the “Log In” link at the top of our homepage.

If you need help locating your login link, just email us at support@badgeandburden.com, and we’ll be happy to resend it.

Please note:

If you’ve already been billed for the current month, your cancellation will apply to the next billing cycle, and the current month’s box will still ship as scheduled.

To avoid being billed for the next month, be sure to cancel before your monthly renewal date.

Prepaid subscriptions (3, 6, or 12 months):

These do not auto-renew and will expire automatically. No cancellation is required.

Month-to-month subscriptions:

These auto-renew and must be canceled prior to the next billing date to avoid charges.

If you need urgent assistance outside of our standard cancellation window, please reach out. In rare cases where a refund is approved outside of policy, a $10 processing fee may apply.

Badge & Burden thoughtfully collaborates with a small circle of trusted contributors who share our heart for serving first responder families.

We are especially interested in:

  • Wellness and recovery experts whose tools support emotional regulation, nourishment, rest, and resilience

  • Prayer leaders and encouragement voices who offer grounded, faith-anchored support

  • Products and resources that align with our mission and provide real, practical benefit — not novelty

Every item or resource included in a Badge & Burden box is carefully reviewed for quality, intention, and alignment. In some cases, we may request samples or a brief review process to ensure the offering is a meaningful fit for our community.

⚓️ Can I customize my box?

Great question. At this time, our subscription boxes are thoughtfully curated and not customizable. Each Badge & Burden box is designed to support first responder families as a whole, with items selected to serve a wide range of needs and seasons.

While customization isn’t available right now, it’s something we hope to explore in the future as we grow. Our goal is to create a meaningful, well-rounded experience that feels supportive whether you’re new to this life or have been walking it for years.

SHIPPING 🚚

⚓️ Where do you ship?

We currently ship anywhere within the continental United States.

U.S. flat-rate shipping is $7.95, which reflects the actual cost of safely shipping a full-size, carefully packed box. We do not mark up shipping.

Thank you for understanding and for supporting a small, mission-driven business — it truly allows us to continue serving first responder families with care and intention.

⚓️ When will I receive my box?

FR Gift Boxes and Spouse Boxes ship within 3 business days. The February Box ships on the 15th of February. You will receive a shipping notification by email with tracking. Your box will arrive at your doorstep via USPS.

⚓️How does my box get here?

Boxes are shipped via USPS Postal Service with (either) First Class, USPS Flat Rate or USPS Priority Mail which includes tracking numbers that will be emailed to you every month prior to your shipment leaving our warehouse.

⚓️ What if my box arrives damaged?

We’re sorry — that’s not the experience we want for you. If an item arrives broken or damaged, we’re here to help.

Please follow these steps within 7 days of delivery:


  1. Email our customer care team at support@badgeandburden.com

  2. Include clear photo(s) of the damaged item(s), a brief description of the issue, and your order number

Once we receive your email, we’ll review the details and work with you to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.

A few important notes:


  • Some items are handmade or small-batch, so slight variations in color or construction are normal and not considered damage.

  • All shipments include tracking and are insured by USPS up to $100.

  • Badge & Burden is not responsible for lost or stolen packages once marked “Delivered” by USPS, or for issues caused by incorrect addresses entered at checkout. Claims for lost or stolen packages can be filed directly with USPS using the tracking number provided in your shipment confirmation email.

For added peace of mind, we recommend shipping to a secure location or requesting package hold or pickup through your local USPS office.

We appreciate your understanding and will always do our best to take care of you.

BILLING

⚓️  When will I be billed?

You will be billed for your first box on the date you sign up. Thereafter, once a month usually around the same day.

⚓️  What if my account has insufficient funds?

If a payment is declined due to insufficient funds or an expired card, our system will automatically attempt to process the payment again several times over a 14-day period.

If payment is still unsuccessful after these attempts, your subscription will be paused or canceled automatically.

To avoid interruptions, we recommend keeping your payment information up to date in your Account Dashboard.

Please note that Badge & Burden is not responsible for any overdraft fees or charges issued by your bank or card provider.

If you need help updating your information or have questions, we’re always here to support you.

⚓️ Can I skip a month?

Yes — no problem. You can skip a month by logging into your Account Dashboard (the link is emailed to you at signup) and selecting the “Skip a month” option. You can skip up to 3 months at a time.

Prefer help from us? Email support@badgeandburden.com with the subject line: “Skip my box this month”, and we’ll take care of it.

Timing matters: We recommend submitting a skip request at least 5 days before your next billing date to ensure your box isn’t processed.

Once an order has processed, we’re not able to stop shipment or issue a refund. Your subscription will automatically resume after your skipped month(s) are complete.

⚓️ How do I access my account?

After checkout, you’ll receive an order confirmation email that includes a direct link to your personal subscription account dashboard.

From your dashboard, you can:


  • Update your shipping address and email

  • Manage your payment method

  • Skip a month or cancel your subscription

⚓️ How do I update my shipping address?

To ensure your box arrives on time, all shipping address changes must be made before the 10th of the month prior to shipment. This allows us time to update labels and prepare orders before they are processed.

Address updates can be made directly in your Account Dashboard. If you need assistance, please email support@badgeandburden.com and we’re happy to help.

Please note: Once a box has been processed, we’re unable to reroute it. Badge & Burden is not responsible for shipments sent to an incorrect address if updates were not made before the cutoff date. Any reshipment due to an address error may require an additional shipping charge.
