About Badge & Burden
Badge & Burden was not built as a business. It was built from a life lived inside the realities it serves.
For more than twenty years, the founder’s family has been deeply connected to the first responder community, including military, law enforcement, and fire families.
Her family has lived the late-night calls, the overtime cycles, the long shifts, the riots, the year-long court cases, SWAT callouts, and the constant transitions that come with this life. They understand the weight that quietly walks through the front door after a difficult day, and what it takes to keep a home steady when everything outside of it is not.
Before creating this space, the founder also served in the military as a Master-at-Arms, adding another layer of experience and perspective within the world this brand serves.
While raising her family, she pursued and completed her bachelor’s degree with a minor in Psychology, Criminal Justice, and Education. Her focus has always been rooted in understanding human behavior, especially in environments shaped by stress, trauma, and high responsibility.
Her journey has also included facing and working through childhood trauma, embracing therapy, and discovering that healing is not weakness, but strength.
The founder is married to her husband of over 19 years, who has served in law enforcement across both military and civilian roles. Together, their family has built a life grounded in faith, resilience, and the daily decision to grow through the challenges this calling brings.
This lived experience is what led to the creation of Badge & Burden.
Not as a brand, but as a place.
A place where first responder and military families can find understanding, encouragement, and practical support for everyday life.
Badge & Burden began with the ANCHORED Box, designed to bring intentional tools into the home that support resilience, connection, and faith. What started as a simple offering quickly revealed a much larger need.
There are too many valuable resources, tools, and voices within this community that are not being seen or shared.
Badge & Burden is now expanding into a resource hub. A place where families can discover trusted support, meaningful tools, and connections that strengthen the home in a life that can often feel isolating.
Everything shared is intentional.
Because behind every first responder is a family carrying a weight of their own.
And they deserve support too.
If even one home feels steadier, one spouse feels less alone, or one family stays more connected because of what is built here, then the mission behind Badge & Burden is being fulfilled.
